Valion Bio advances Entolimod to US-funded radiation survival study
VBIO•Valion Bio is advancing Entolimod into a U.S. government-funded study testing whether it improves survival in mice exposed to radiation. Top-line efficacy results are expected in early December.
1. Study tests survival
Researchers at the Armed Forces Radiobiology Research Institute will assess whether Entolimod improves survival from radiation-related gastrointestinal injury in mice. The study follows previously announced positive safety results.
2. Government funding
The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases' Radiation and Nuclear Countermeasures Program will fully fund the study, preserving company capital.
