Valion Bio reports positive Entolimod safety results in mouse study
VBIO•Valion Bio reported positive preclinical safety results for Entolimod after a 14-day study involving 20 male mice given a single 0.72 mg/kg dose. A fully funded efficacy study is planned to assess survival and gastrointestinal recovery after radiation exposure.
1. Mouse safety study
The U.S. government-funded study assessed a single 0.72 mg/kg subcutaneous dose of Entolimod in 20 male mice over 14 days. Treated animals maintained stable body weights, with no significant treatment-related differences from saline controls in blood counts or organ function measures.
2. Efficacy study planned
The Armed Forces Radiobiology Research Institute plans a fully funded study to evaluate survival and gastrointestinal recovery when treatment is given following radiation exposure.
