Vaud 2026 GDP growth forecast rises to 1.8% from 1.0%
SPY•Vaud’s 2026 GDP growth forecast rose to 1.8% from 1%, while its 2027 outlook increased to 1.8% from 1.5%.
1. Regional outlook improves
Projections published October 15 put Vaud’s GDP growth at 1.8% in both 2026 and 2027, supported by resilient domestic demand despite global uncertainty. Construction growth is projected above 2% in 2026, then to contract by 0.5%-2% in 2027. Machinery, precision instruments and watch manufacturers could grow by more than 2% in both years, while business services and real estate activities are projected to grow 0.5%-2% in 2026 and above 2% in 2027.
