VEON, Beeline Kazakhstan sign payments cooperation memorandum with National Bank of Kazakhstan

VEON DFG and Beeline Kazakhstan signed a five-year cooperation memorandum with Kazakhstan’s central bank to explore digital payment services.

The framework targets linking VEON’s digital services with Kazakhstan’s national payments infrastructure to expand in-app payments and money transfers.

Potential work includes payment processing, money transfer processing and settlement services via the National Payment Corporation’s infrastructure.

Beeline Kazakhstan plans to seek first-category payment organization status, subject to regulatory approvals.
