VEON’s Uklon App Adds Bus Ticketing Service for Domestic, International Travel

VEONVEON

Uklon, a subsidiary of Kyivstar within VEON's digital network, launched a beta “Travel” service enabling users to book domestic and international bus tickets directly within its app. The 3.8 million monthly active users and $100 million annualized revenue run rate position the platform to capture a larger share of transportation spend.

1. Launch of Travel Service

VEON's Ukraine-based ride-hailing subsidiary Uklon has introduced a beta “Travel” feature within its app, allowing users to purchase domestic and cross-border bus tickets. This extension builds on Uklon's existing ride-hailing, delivery, and adtech services, aiming to create a unified mobility platform.

2. Addressable Market Expansion

By integrating intercity and international bus bookings, Uklon expands its addressable market beyond urban rides to broader transportation spend. The service taps into gaps left by reduced air capacity and strained rail networks, offering flexible travel options across Ukraine and to Europe.

3. Financial and Strategic Impact

Uklon serves 3.8 million monthly active users and operates at an annualized revenue run rate exceeding $100 million. The new Travel service is positioned to boost revenue per active user and strengthen VEON’s broader digital ecosystem through increased user engagement across multiple verticals.
