Veracyte’s Decipher test predicts abiraterone benefit in very high-risk prostate cancer study
VCYT•A retrospective analysis of 401 patients in the Phase III STAMPEDE trial found Veracyte’s Decipher Prostate test predicted benefit from adding abiraterone to hormone therapy in men with very high-risk, nonmetastatic prostate cancer. Results are scheduled for presentation on October 24, 2026.
1. Trial analysis findings
The retrospective analysis found that higher Decipher scores identified greater benefit from adding abiraterone to hormone therapy in reducing cancer spread among men with very high-risk, nonmetastatic prostate cancer. The analysis included 401 patients in the Phase III STAMPEDE trial.
2. Planned presentation
The findings support using the test before treatment intensification to weigh potential benefits against abiraterone’s added side effects and treatment burden. Results will be presented at the European Society for Medical Oncology Congress on October 24, 2026.
