Vertex launches Phase 3b study of povetacicept autoinjector in IgA nephropathy
VRTX•Vertex has started the Phase 3b PAVANT study to assess patient experience with povetacicept delivered by autoinjector in adults with IgA nephropathy. The drug met primary and secondary endpoints in Phase 3 RAINIER, and has a November 30 PDUFA target action date.

Vertex Pharmaceuticals said its Phase 3b PAVANT study is underway to assess patient experience with povetacicept administered by autoinjector in adults with IgA nephropathy. Povetacicept met primary and secondary endpoints in Phase 3 RAINIER, reducing proteinuria versus placebo; an interim analysis showed favorable safety with at-home dosing every four weeks. The drug has a November 30 PDUFA target action date.
