- Vertex expanded its executive leadership team following the close of its Crinetics acquisition on Sept. 1, 2026.
- Charles Wagner, EVP and chief operating and financial officer, took on oversight of the Crinetics integration, effective immediately.
- Jonathan Poole will become EVP, chief financial officer on Jan. 1, 2027; he has led global finance since March 2020.
- Poole previously served as CFO of Evelo Biosciences, CFO of Genocea Biosciences, and SVP of finance at Shire.
- Jasper van Grunsven joins on Sept. 8, 2026 as EVP, chief pain and new product planning officer; most recently SVP at Amgen.
