Vertical Aerospace signed an MoU with Near Earth Autonomy to integrate autonomous flight systems into its Valo aircraft for uncrewed missions.
Near Earth’s autonomy products are set to work with Honeywell Aerospace’s Anthem digital cockpit, already central to Valo, aiming to speed integration.
The partners plan to target near-term defense opportunities while developing a longer-term roadmap for more automated commercial operations.
Vertical is also developing a hybrid-electric Valo variant targeting up to 1,000 miles of range and payloads up to 1,100 kg over shorter distances.
