Vertiv Acquires ThermoKey to Enhance EMEA AI Data Center Cooling
VRT•Vertiv completed the acquisition of ThermoKey S.p.A., adding heat-exchange, dry cooler and low-GWP refrigerant technologies to its thermal management portfolio. The deal enhances Vertiv's manufacturing capacity in Europe, Middle East and Africa and strengthens its ability to deliver integrated cooling solutions for AI data centers and high-density computing.
1. Acquisition Details
Vertiv finalized the purchase of ThermoKey S.p.A. for an undisclosed amount, bringing onboard a provider of heat-exchange, dry cooler, and low-GWP refrigerant technologies. ThermoKey’s Rivarotta, Italy facility will remain a central hub for manufacturing and engineering under the leadership of CEO Giuseppe Visentini.
2. Strategic Thermal Management Expansion
The acquisition adds proprietary heat rejection solutions and complements Vertiv’s existing portfolio, enabling end-to-end thermal architectures for high-density computing. These integrated offerings aim to support multi-generation compute cycles in AI data centers with enhanced efficiency and performance.
3. EMEA Capacity and Market Access
Vertiv’s thermal management manufacturing capacity in Europe, Middle East and Africa expands significantly, providing customers across 130 countries with localized support. The deal opens new OEM and system integrator channels, accelerating growth in key markets with rising AI infrastructure demand.
