Vertiv Q2 FY26 net income rises 53.5% to $497.8 million; net sales increase 24.1% to $3.27 billion

Vertiv said it is investing to expand global capacity to meet robust AI and high-performance compute data-center demand, with 2026 capex expected at USD 550 million to USD 570 million.
Margins widen as gross profit increases
Gross profit increased 37.7% to USD 1.23 billion; gross margin widened 3.7 percentage points to 37.7%.
SG&A expenses rose 25% to USD 494.4 million, while interest expense, net, fell 18.3% to USD 17.4 million.
Quarterly profit and operating income rise
Vertiv posted Q2 net income of USD 497.8 million, up 53.5% from a year earlier, as operating profit rose 44.2% to USD 637.9 million.
Sales growth driven by volumes, acquisitions and FX
Net sales climbed 24.1% to USD 3.27 billion, driven by higher volumes, USD 129.7 million of acquisition-related sales, and USD 35.9 million from FX.
