Veru completes enrollment in Phase 2b PLATEAU trial of enobosarm with semaglutide in older obesity patients

Veru completed enrollment in its Phase 2b PLATEAU trial testing enobosarm with semaglutide in about 200 older obesity patients.

Interim results are scheduled for calendar Q1 2027; final topline data is targeted for calendar Q4 2027.

The study aims to support “higher-quality” weight loss by increasing fat loss while preserving muscle, physical function, and bone density.

Veru is positioning enobosarm as a potential add-on to GLP-1 drugs to address weight-loss plateaus in older patients with low muscle reserves.

A prior Phase 2b QUALITY study was described as positive, supporting the combination’s ability to preserve lean mass and function versus semaglutide alone.
