Veru Inc. signed a clinical supply agreement on June 2, 2026 to combine its oral SARM enobosarm with Novo Nordisk’s Wegovy in a Phase 2b PLATEAU study targeting obesity among older adults. Novo Nordisk will provide Wegovy free of charge while Veru sponsors and operates the trial.
On June 2, 2026, Veru Inc. entered into a clinical supply agreement with Novo Nordisk to secure Wegovy for its upcoming Phase 2b PLATEAU study. Under the deal, Novo Nordisk will supply the GLP-1 injection at no cost, while Veru assumes full sponsorship and operational responsibilities for the trial.
The PLATEAU trial will investigate the efficacy and safety of combining oral enobosarm, a selective androgen receptor modulator, with semaglutide injections in older adults with obesity. Key endpoints include changes in body weight, lean muscle mass, and metabolic biomarkers over the study period.
Veru retains worldwide development and commercialization rights for enobosarm, preserving its strategic flexibility. The agreement grants Novo Nordisk a right of first negotiation if Veru pursues any future licensing or co-development of enobosarm with GLP-1 drugs.
