2. Expansion of XEdge Platform With New Sensor Options

Viavi has enhanced its cloud-based XEdge edge monitoring and assurance platform with two new sensor variants to support private 4G, 5G and Wi-Fi networks. XEdge v2, a portable, multi-carrier unit, supports up to four cellular modems for high-capacity data collection during continuous monitoring, walk tests and drive tests. XEdge Lite, a compact fixed-installation sensor available in standard and IP67-rated enclosures, supports a single modem for always-on monitoring in harsh indoor and outdoor environments. All sensors integrate with the XEdge Controller for centralized dashboards and automated analytics, enabling 24/7 visibility, customizable reporting and multi-site scalability.

3. Strategic Positioning and Industry Events

Yann Rouveyre, General Manager of Mission Critical and Railway Solutions, emphasized that the expanded XEdge portfolio delivers objective visibility into private network performance across campuses, factories, transport hubs, remote sites and secure zones. The unattended system requires minimal daily management and no specialized network expertise. Viavi will showcase the enhanced XEdge platform at Mobile World Congress 2026 (Stand 5B18, May 2–5) and Critical Communications World 2026 (June 16–18).
