1. RTX’s Collins Aerospace Wins 777 Fleet Maintenance Contract
RTX Corp’s Collins Aerospace unit has signed a multi-year FlightSense maintenance agreement with Singapore Airlines covering the carrier’s entire 27-aircraft Boeing 777 fleet plus five new 777F freighters. Under the deal, Collins will perform line and heavy maintenance, engine borescope inspections and component repairs, leveraging its global MRO network to optimize turn-times and dispatch reliability. The program is expected to generate over $90 million in revenue for RTX over its initial five-year term and includes options to expand services to additional wide-body and freighter platforms.
2. Raytheon Unit Secures Five Framework Agreements to Ramp Munition Production
Raytheon, an RTX business, entered into up-to-seven-year agreements with the U.S. Department of War to expand annual output of five precision munitions. RTX will increase Tomahawk cruise missile production to more than 1,000 units, AMRAAM surface-to-air missiles to at least 1,900, and SM-6 interceptors to over 500 per year. Production rates for SM-3 Block IIA and SM-3 Block IB interceptors will accelerate two- to four-fold versus current levels. The agreements include a collaborative funding model designed to preserve upfront free cash flow, underpinning RTX’s 2026 outlook and supporting facility expansions in Tucson, Huntsville and Andover.
3. Vietjet Orders 44 Additional GTF Engines from Pratt & Whitney
Pratt & Whitney, RTX’s commercial engines business, secured a 44-engine order from Vietjet Air for GTF-powered Airbus A320neo family aircraft—24 A321neos and 20 A321XLRs—bringing the carrier’s total GTF commitments to 137 units. Deliveries begin July 2026 and include a 12-year EngineWise® Comprehensive service agreement. The GTF platform offers up to 20% lower fuel burn and a 75% smaller noise footprint versus legacy engines. To support this growth, RTX is expanding its global MRO footprint and supply chain capacity, targeting over 2,600 installed GTFs with more than 90 airline customers by year-end.
4. RTX Stock Up 30% in Six Months on Defense Wins and Service Deals
RTX shares have climbed roughly 30% over the past six months, driven by the company’s landmark munitions framework agreements, the Singapore Airlines and Vietjet service deals, and upward-revised 2026 earnings estimates from major brokerages. Analysts cite RTX’s diversified aftermarket services and accelerated free cash flow generation as key catalysts, while noting that potential trade tensions could introduce supply-chain headwinds. Consensus revenue growth for 2026 has been raised to 5% year-over-year, with adjusted EBITDA margins expected near 16%.
