At the June 2 annual meeting, Village Farms shareholders cast 57,069,476 common shares, representing 49.93% of issued and outstanding shares. All items submitted in the proxy statement secured the requisite majority of votes for approval.
2. Director Elections
Seven nominees were elected, with support ranging from 89.16% for John P. Henry to a high of 98.97% for Michael A. DeGiglio. Other directors received between 89.17% and 98.49% of votes, reflecting broad shareholder endorsement.
3. Auditor Reappointment
KPMG LLP was reappointed as auditor to serve until the next annual meeting, with the board authorized to set its remuneration. The decision ensures continuity in financial oversight and audit processes.
