Village Farms named Hamid Shekarchi interim CFO, effective immediately, under its CFO succession plan disclosed April 3, 2026.
Shekarchi previously served as CFO of the company’s Canadian cannabis business, overseeing finance, accounting, and IT functions.
He earlier co-led BDO’s Western Canada cannabis practice, focused on business valuations, with prior senior roles at BDO Canada and PwC.
Outgoing CFO Steve Ruffini will move to a leadership role focused on mergers and acquisitions.
