Vir Biotechnology names Brent Sabatini interim principal financial officer as CFO exits

Vir Biotechnology named Brent Sabatini interim principal financial officer effective July 23.

Jason O'Byrne will depart to pursue another opportunity, staying through August 3 to support the transition.

Sabatini has served as senior vice president and chief accounting officer since February 2023. He previously led finance at Capsida Biotherapeutics, following roles at Amgen spanning accounting, tax and FP&A.

A search is underway for a permanent chief financial officer.
