Virtuix Secures First U.S. Navy CRADA for Omni One Training Simulations
Virtuix signed a CRADA with the Naval Postgraduate School to provide its Omni One system for military training simulations. The first U.S. Navy partnership extends Virtuix’s defense footprint after earlier Omni sales to Army at West Point, Air Force Academy, Yokota and Marine Corps.
1. CRADA Overview
Virtuix signed a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement with the Naval Postgraduate School’s MOVES Institute in Monterey, delivering an Omni One omni-directional treadmill for evaluation in military training and simulation scenarios.
2. Defense Market Expansion
This marks Virtuix’s first formal partnership with the U.S. Navy and builds on earlier Omni system deployments to the U.S. Army at West Point, the Air Force Academy, Yokota Air Base and the Marine Corps, broadening the company’s defense footprint.
3. Omni One and VTW Technology
The Omni One system employs Virtual Terrain Walk technology with AI-driven 3D reconstruction to create geo-specific, photorealistic VR environments that allow users to physically walk, run and crouch in any direction for mission planning and rehearsal.
4. Outlook and Next Steps
Researchers will assess Omni One’s suitability for tasks ranging from ship and submarine familiarization to combat modeling, with insights poised to inform further development and potential procurement contracts across military and first responder use cases.
