Virtuix Secures U.S. Marine Corps VR Contract Featuring Four Omni One Treadmills
Virtuix secured a U.S. Marine Corps operational assessment contract via KBR to deploy a four-treadmill multi-user VR infantry training system that lets fire teams physically maneuver in shared virtual combat scenarios. The system is due for delivery in Q4 2026 and could expand nationwide, bolstering Virtuix’s defense revenue pipeline.
1. Virtuix Leads Marine Corps VR Training Project
On May 5 2026, Virtuix was selected by the U.S. Marine Corps Training and Education Command through partner KBR to lead an operational assessment of a multi-user virtual infantry training system. The contract covers integration of four Omni One omni-directional treadmills and representative weapons for four-person fire team drills.
2. System Features and Training Benefits
The VR system enables Marines to walk, run, crouch and maneuver in 360-degree virtual environments without boundaries, replicating the physical demands of combat. Instructors will use a dedicated workstation to design custom scenarios, monitor performance metrics and conduct detailed after-action reviews, enhancing muscle memory and situational awareness.
3. Delivery Schedule and Expansion Potential
Delivery of the complete training system is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2026, with initial assessments determining its effectiveness. If performance criteria are met, the project could expand to Marine Corps training centers nationwide, potentially driving significant unit sales and recurring support contracts.
4. Growing Defense-Sector Traction
Virtuix has previously sold VR training systems to the U.S. Army, Air Force and Marine Corps and recently entered a development agreement with the U.S. Navy. These engagements demonstrate increasing demand for immersive, full-body VR solutions and bolster Virtuix’s defense-sector revenue pipeline heading into fiscal year 2027.
