Virtuix Unveils 360° Humanoid Robot Control with Omni One and Nexus NX1

VTIXVTIX

Virtuix partnered with University of Central Florida to teleoperate a humanoid robot in real time using its Omni One treadmill, enabling full 360-degree human movement to mirror robot locomotion. It also collaborated with 1HMX on the Nexus NX1 system integrating Omni One and HaptX Gloves G1 for haptic-feedback robot control.

1. UCF Teleoperation Demonstration

Virtuix partnered with University of Central Florida’s Institute for Simulation & Training to demonstrate real-time teleoperation of a humanoid robot using its Omni One omni-directional treadmill. Operators walked and moved naturally in a 360° CAVE-like projection environment, with robot locomotion mirroring human movement without directional constraints.

2. Nexus NX1 Full-Body Control System

In collaboration with 1HMX, Virtuix launched the Nexus NX1, integrating the Omni One Enterprise treadmill with HaptX Gloves G1 to deliver lifelike tactile and force feedback. The system captures detailed full-body movement and interaction data to improve both teleoperation precision and autonomous robot training.

3. Market Applications and Outlook

The combined technologies target defense, industrial, and research markets by overcoming teleoperation limitations and providing immersive, boundary-free control. These developments position Virtuix to expand enterprise sales, deepen robotics partnerships, and leverage full-body movement data for AI-driven autonomy improvements.
