Visa activates Tempo validator node, teams with Neat on AI card benefits
Visa activated its in-house validator node on the Tempo layer-1 blockchain, joining Stripe and Zodia Custody as anchor validators to enhance transaction validation and network security. The company also teamed with Neat to embed AI-driven insurance and medical benefits into European payment cards, boosting user experience and engagement.
1. Launch of Tempo Validator Node
Visa has deployed its proprietary validator node on the Tempo layer-1 blockchain, positioning itself alongside Stripe and Zodia Custody as anchor validators. The node was configured and managed in-house over six months in collaboration with Tempo’s engineering team to strengthen on-chain transaction validation, network resilience and payment rail security under Visa’s operational standards.
2. Neat Partnership for AI-Driven Card Services
Visa has partnered with Neat to integrate AI-powered insurance and medical services directly into its European payment cards. This collaboration aims to drive higher card usage and customer retention by embedding value-added services and AI insights into routine transactions, enhancing overall user experience and engagement.
