In fiscal 2025, Visa processed 257.5 billion transactions for a total payment volume (TPV) of $13.9 trillion, marking a 7% increase from $13.0 trillion the previous year. The growth underscores sustained consumer and merchant adoption of Visa’s network globally.

Visa’s $13.9 trillion TPV outpaced Mastercard’s $10.6 trillion in the same period, while Mastercard’s TPV grew 8% year-over-year from $9.8 trillion. Visa derived 55.6% of its TPV from international markets, compared to Mastercard’s 70.6%, highlighting differing geographic exposures.
3. PingPong Partnership Details
Visa partnered with cross-border fintech PingPong to introduce a card-to-account settlement service through its Business Payment Solution Provider (BPSP) platform. This service enables corporate buyers to pay suppliers via Visa credit cards even when suppliers do not accept cards directly.
4. Implications for Corporate Payments
The BPSP service converts card transactions into sellers’ preferred methods, such as wire transfers, across approximately 170 countries and 25 currencies. This expands Visa Europe’s commercial client offerings and aims to improve working capital efficiency for buyers and suppliers.
