Vishay Releases 34 PHE Sensor with ±1% Linearity at 40% Lower Cost
VSH•Vishay Intertechnology introduced the 34 PHE multi-turn absolute position sensor offering ±1% linearity, 1° resolution and over 10 million-cycle lifespan in a compact 22.2 mm diameter body. Priced 40% below prior models, the IP65-rated sensor withstands 20 g vibrations, 50 g shocks and integrates reverse-voltage protection with analog and PWM outputs.
1. Product Introduction
On July 2, Vishay Intertechnology launched the Sfernice 34 PHE multi-turn absolute position sensor, leveraging non-contacting Hall Effect technology to deliver high accuracy and long-term stability in demanding industrial environments.
2. Key Specifications
The device offers ±1% linearity over full stroke, 1° angular resolution, and more than 10 million mechanical cycles of lifespan within a 22.2 mm diameter package and supports 3600° of electrical rotation across ten turns.
3. Cost Reduction and Availability
Priced at 40% below previous-generation models, the 34 PHE is available immediately for sampling and production with lead times of 14 weeks, reducing system costs by eliminating the need for external protection circuitry.
4. Durability and Applications
Featuring IP65 sealing, resistance to vibrations up to 20 g and shocks to 50 g, integrated reverse-voltage and overvoltage protections, and configurable analog or PWM outputs, the sensor targets servo loop motion control, solar panel actuators, flow control valves and automotive positioning systems.
