Vishay Unveils 3.6 mm-Wide Optocoupler with 707 V Isolation, 40 kV/µs CMTI
VSH•Vishay introduced the VOMHA43A, a 1 MBd automotive optocoupler in a 3.6 mm-wide SOP-5 package offering CTI 400, CMTI 40 kV/µs and 707 Vpeak isolation. AEC-Q102 qualified for CAN, LIN, I²C and SPI bus isolation, it cuts PCB space 18% versus previous SOP-5 and ships with six-week lead times.
1. Product Overview
The VOMHA43A integrates a GaAlAs LED, integrated photodetector and high-speed transistor in a narrow 3.6 mm SOP-5 package, delivering a 1 MBd data rate. It achieves a comparative tracking index of 400, minimum common mode transient immunity of 40 kV/µs and repetitive isolation up to 707 Vpeak under AEC-Q102 qualification.
2. Application Benefits
Qualified to AEC-Q102 standards, the optocoupler supports CAN, LIN, I²C and SPI bus isolation in EV, HEV and LSEV platforms as well as industrial, home control and telecom systems. A built-in Faraday shield and reduced Miller capacitance enhance robustness against electrical spikes, RF interference and EMI.
3. Availability and Compatibility
Samples and production quantities of the VOMHA43A are available now with six-week lead times. Pin-to-pin compatibility with leading competing parts allows direct replacement and eliminates the need for electrical or mechanical redesigns.
