Vishay Unveils Four 3000 W TVS Series in DFN6546A 6.5×4.6 mm Package
Vishay Intertechnology launched four unidirectional and bidirectional PAR and TRANSZORB TVS series delivering 3000 W power dissipation in the space-saving DFN6546A package. The 6.5×4.6 mm footprint with 0.88 mm height offers twice the power of SMPC devices and reduces SMC volume by 76%.

Vishay Intertechnology introduced four series of unidirectional and bidirectional surface-mount transient voltage suppressors, including T3KNxxA, T3KNxxCA, 3KDFNxxA and 3KDFNxxCA. Each series delivers 3000 W power dissipation in the new low-profile DFN6546A package.
2. Package and Footprint Advantages
The DFN6546A package measures 6.5×4.6 mm with a 0.88 mm typical height and features wettable flanks for automatic optical inspection. It is footprint-compatible with the SMPC (TO-277A) package and offers twice the power dissipation at 20% lower profile compared to SMPC, and matches SMC dissipation with 76% volume reduction.
3. Performance Metrics and Voltage Ratings
PAR series devices offer breakdown voltages from 12 to 24 V with standoff voltages up to 20.5 V and clamping voltages between 16.7 and 33.2 V. TRANSZORB series cover breakdown voltages up to 100 V, standoff to 85.5 V and clamping up to 137 V, supporting operating temperatures to +185 °C for automotive-grade and +175 °C for industrial-grade devices.

Typical applications include ADAS, lidar, BMS, EPS, server power modules, automation systems, and telecom equipment. Samples and production quantities are available now with lead times around 12 weeks.
