Vishay Unveils VODA1275 MOSFET Driver with 8 mm Creepage and 1260 V Isolation

VSHVSH

Vishay introduced the VODA1275 photovoltaic MOSFET driver with 20 V open-circuit voltage, 20 μA short-circuit current, 80 μs turn-on time and 8 mm creepage in an SMD-4 package. With 1260 V peak and 5300 V RMS isolation, it supports 800 V+ battery systems while cutting design complexity and cost.

1. Product Specifications

The VODA1275 delivers an industry-leading 20 V open-circuit voltage, 20 μA short-circuit current and 80 μs turn-on time in a compact SMD-4 package. It features an 8 mm creepage distance and CTI 600 mold compound for reinforced isolation in high-voltage environments.

2. Performance and Applications

Rated for 1260 V peak working isolation and 5300 V RMS test voltage, the driver is optimized for 800 V+ battery systems in EV and HEV pre-charge circuits, wall chargers and BMS. Its high output voltage enables single-device operation, supporting custom solid-state relay designs.

3. Design Advantages and Availability

Optically isolated with internal infrared emitter drive, the VODA1275 eliminates external power supplies and reduces component count by replacing dual-driver configurations. It is AEC-Q102 qualified, RoHS-compliant, halogen-free, and available for sampling and production with eight-week lead times.
