VisionWave highlights STRATUM modular autonomous ground platform design targets in development
VWAV•VisionWave highlighted STRATUM, a modular autonomous ground-systems architecture for defense, security and logistics roles. VARAN design targets include a 500 kg payload, more than 1,000 kg towing capacity, a 70 km/h top speed and four-hour mission time; the platforms remain in development and have not completed qualification or entered production.
1. Platform design targets
VisionWave highlighted STRATUM, a modular unmanned vehicle family with development programs named VARAN, RANGER, SCOUT and RECON, built around a common vehicle with swappable mission modules. VARAN targets include a 500 kg payload, more than 1,000 kg towing capacity, a 70 km/h top speed and four-hour mission time; mission endurance is targeted at up to 28 hours depending on configuration.
2. Development status
The design objectives remain unvalidated pending testing. None of the STRATUM platforms has completed qualification, entered serial production, reached customers or generated revenue.
