The Pentagon’s FY2026 budget commits $66.1 billion to IT and cyberspace activities, a 2.8% increase from last year, prioritizing AI integration, electronic warfare modernization and hardened networking across all military branches. This funding surge supports expanded procurement cycles and intensifies demand for defense electronics suppliers.

2. VisionWave Secures $10M QuantumSpeed Contract

VisionWave entered a $10 million statement of work to develop its QuantumSpeed computational acceleration platform, targeting high-performance environments for advanced AI workloads. The contract reinforces VisionWave’s role in supplying mission-critical computing solutions for defense applications.

3. Product Launches and Partnerships Advance AI Systems

The company introduced its VARAN unmanned ground vehicle and ARGUS AI-driven counter-drone system featuring RF-based sensing for aerial threat detection. It also formed a joint venture with Boca Jom Ltd., partnered with PVML and Aiphex for secure AI infrastructure, and advanced UAV initiatives through subsidiary Solar Drone Ltd.

4. Acquiring C.M. Composite Materials for Defense Applications

VisionWave agreed to acquire a 51% controlling stake in C.M. Composite Materials, an Israeli manufacturer of aerospace-grade composites embedded in Iron Dome and Barak 8 systems. C.M. Composite Materials is exploring Bundeswehr market access in Germany and joint ventures in India through FBM Technologies.
