Vista Energy publishes 2025 sustainability report

Vista Energy released its 2025 sustainability report, flagging scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions intensity of 6.8 kgCO2e/boe, beating its 2026 target.

• Reported a 23% year-on-year drop in scope 1 and 2 emissions intensity, driven by electrification, renewable power use, flare reduction and methane controls.
• Set a target of zero routine flaring by 2030.
• Outlined a plan to use nature-based projects to generate carbon credits to match residual operational emissions by 2026; 13 projects span 43,000 hectares.
• Disclosed a consolidated Total Recordable Injury Rate of 0.80, below its 1.0 target, and reported zero significant oil spill incidents.
