Vodafone is one of eight major telecom operators collaborating with Nokia’s Network as Code initiative, joining carriers such as Deutsche Telekom, Globe and Orange. This expands Vodafone’s involvement in programmable network services that convert complex infrastructure into standardized APIs for enterprise and IoT applications.

Under the expanded program, Nokia will embed Google Cloud’s agentic AI tools into network APIs, enabling Vodafone to deploy software agents that automate actions from number verification to fraud mitigation. Early use cases include digital identity and on-demand connectivity, aligning with Vodafone’s push for differentiated service offerings.

This partnership positions Vodafone to accelerate monetization of its network by offering programmable APIs to developers and enterprise clients. By leveraging AI-driven workflows and global carrier ecosystem, Vodafone could enhance enterprise revenues and improve service agility in competitive markets.
