Volaris Posts 1.9% March RPM Growth with Load Factor at 84.7%
Volaris’ March capacity rose 1.5% with RPMs up 1.9% driven by an 11.5% jump in international traffic despite a 3.9% drop domestically. Consolidated load factor climbed 0.3ppt to 84.7% as the ULCC carried 2.7 million passengers.
1. March 2026 Traffic Overview
Volaris expanded total ASMs by 1.5% year-over-year to 3.08 billion, generating 2.61 billion RPMs, up 1.9%. Passenger traffic reached 2.7 million, marking a 4.5% increase compared with March 2025.
2. Domestic and International Breakdown
Domestic RPMs fell 3.9% to 1.54 billion while international RPMs climbed 11.5% to 1.07 billion. YTD through March, international RPMs are up 10.0% and domestic RPMs are down 3.4%.
3. Load Factor and Strategic Outlook
Overall load factor improved by 0.3 percentage points to 84.7%, driven by a 1.1ppt gain domestically and a 0.4ppt rise internationally. Management plans targeted capacity tweaks and gradual fare and ancillary increases to offset higher jet fuel costs.
