Volato entered a definitive agreement to merge with AI infrastructure provider Alignment Engine in a deal valuing Alignment Engine at about $500 million.
The transaction shifts Volato’s strategy toward AI infrastructure, high-performance computing, and data center development anchored by Alignment Engine’s Ohio campus.
Alignment Engine’s site has 154MW of power available now, with a targeted buildout to at least 480MW to support high-density GPU workloads.
Volato is set to remain the publicly traded parent company following closing.
