Volkswagen deliveries fall 9% in Jan-Sep 2026 to 6,011,000 vehicles
Volkswagen delivered 6,011,000 vehicles in the first nine months of 2026, down 9% year over year. China deliveries fell 30.2%, while Europe deliveries rose 1.7%.
1. Regional deliveries
Volkswagen delivered 6,011,000 vehicles in the first nine months of 2026, down from 6,604,300 a year earlier. China deliveries fell 30.2% to 1,378,800, while Europe deliveries rose 1.7% to 2,956,000. North America deliveries declined 4% to 680,200, and South America deliveries rose 4.3% to 502,500.
2. Electric vehicles
Battery-electric vehicle deliveries fell 5.4% to 678,700. In Europe, BEV deliveries rose 12.1% to 586,100; BEVs made up 20% of regional deliveries, up from 18%, and about 40% of the regional order backlog.
