Shippensburg plant expansion lifts U.S. output
Volvo CE invested $40 million to expand production at its Shippensburg, Pennsylvania plant, lifting U.S. output to more than 50% of North American supply.
First U.S.-built excavators and larger wheel loaders have been shipped to customers, and 11 additional models are set to start production at the site.
The localization plan targets customer lead times cut by more than six weeks.
