Vornado's PENN 2 Hits 90% Occupancy with 124,532 SF Deals
VNO•Vornado's PENN 2 tower in New York City's Penn District is 90 percent leased after signing a 12-year, 62,223-square-foot lease with Veeva and a 10-year, 62,309-square-foot lease with Altana. The 31-story building’s modern redesign and 180,000 square feet of amenities support stronger leasing momentum.
1. Lease Completions Drive 90 Percent Occupancy
PENN 2 has reached 90 percent leased following two full-floor agreements: Veeva’s 12-year, 62,223-square-foot lease on the 11th floor and Altana’s 10-year, 62,309-square-foot lease on the 21st floor. These commitments bring the reimagined tower’s total leased area to over 112,000 square feet from leading technology and AI companies.
2. Reimagined Design and Amenities Attract Tenants
The 31-story tower has been transformed with a modern curtain wall, a triple-height lobby, 16 double-height outdoor loggias and 72,000 square feet of landscaped outdoor green space. Tenants also access 30,000 square feet of curated retail, a rooftop glass pavilion and a 280-seat Town Hall, all integrated into the multi-building Penn District campus.
3. Income Growth and Strategic Position in Penn District
With PENN 2’s lease-up success, Vornado enhances its rental income potential and reinforces its leadership in New York City office. The development taps into a 180,000-square-foot amenity platform under the WorkLife program and benefits from direct access to 15 subway lines, commuter rails, and Metro-North connections slated for 2027.
