Voyager Technologies will acquire Astrobotic for $300 million in a deal expected to close by early July 2026, adding the Griffin lunar lander to its portfolio. Astrobotic’s record includes over $600 million in NASA and defense contracts and a planned Griffin launch on a Falcon Heavy this year.
Voyager Technologies announced a binding agreement to acquire Astrobotic for $300 million, with the transaction targeted to close by early July 2026 pending regulatory approvals.
Astrobotic’s assets include the upcoming Griffin lunar lander set to launch on a Falcon Heavy this year, over $600 million in NASA, Department of Defense and commercial contracts, lunar power systems and reusable rocket work.
The acquisition positions Voyager as a comprehensive lunar infrastructure provider by integrating mission management, propulsion, landers, solar distribution, habitation technology from its Max Space investment and dust mitigation coatings.
NASA plans to invest an additional $40 billion into lunar south pole base development through the 2030s, underpinning a projected lunar economy that the combined Voyager–Astrobotic platform aims to capture.
