VTVT•A vTv Therapeutics study found that 54% of adults with type 1 diabetes using automated insulin delivery reported burdens related to hypoglycemia.
1. Study findings
The analysis found that hypoglycemia remains a common, clinically meaningful burden among adults with type 1 diabetes despite wider use of automated insulin delivery. The results were presented at the Breakthrough T1D Clinical & Research Congress 2026 in Philadelphia. Management framed the findings as supporting demand for add-on therapies such as its oral investigational drug cadisegliatin alongside insulin.
