Wabash has begun accepting 2027 production orders for its 2028 model year DuraPlate® Dry Van and DuraPlate® HD Dry Van trailers, launching months ahead of its usual fall cycle. The move responds to fleet customers’ requests for earlier configuration, pricing and delivery visibility to align capex approvals and route planning.
Wabash has accelerated its traditional fall ordering window by opening 2027 production orders for 2028 model year DuraPlate® Dry Van and DuraPlate® HD Dry Van trailers in early July. This shift provides fleet operators with months of additional planning time compared with prior cycles.
Direct feedback from fleet customers indicated acquisition planning for 2027 was already underway, with demand for earlier access to trailer specifications, delivery dates and pricing to synchronize with capex approvals and tractor orders.
The current order intake covers standard DuraPlate Dry Van and heavy-duty DuraPlate HD Dry Van models, offering customizable configurations and delivery windows. Customers can secure chassis options, interior features and advanced connected-technology packages before the traditional ordering period.
By granting earlier access to order schedules, Wabash aims to improve visibility into production capacity and reduce uncertainty around total cost of ownership. This proactive approach may strengthen customer relationships and boost order volume as operators seek stability in an improving freight environment.
