W.Africa Crude - India snaps up WAF

LONDON, Aug 5 (Reuters) - Indian refineries bought multiple West African crude grades this week, trade sources said, while the rest of the market was quiet.

• State-run Indian Oil Corp bought Congolese Djeno and Angolan Nemba, Saxi Batuque and Clov grades on Tuesday, sources familiar with the matter told Reuters.
• Hindustan Petroleum Corp bought 2 million barrels of Nigeria's Okwuibome and Utapate crude from trader Glencore for its 180,000 barrel-per-day refinery in the desert state of Rajasthan, trade sources said on Tuesday.
• Indian refiners Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals also bought 1 million barrels of Oman crude via a tender, three trade sources said on Wednesday.
• West African crude has had to compete with cheaper Middle East and Latin American grades recently, traders have told Reuters. The drop in flows through the Strait of Hormuz and now Bab el-Mandeb has started pushing differentials higher.
• Gulf countries' crude oil and condensate exports were largely steady in July and remained about 40% below pre-war levels, shipping data showed, with signs of a slowdown emerging in the second half of the month as fighting in the region intensified again.
