W.Africa Crude - Nigerian September loadings to jump

Exports of Nigeria's four main crude grades will jump month-on-month in September, while traders watch for any knock-on impacts for the West African market from worsening supply disruptions in other regions.

Exports of Bonny Light, Bonga, Qua Iboe and Forcados are scheduled at around 952,000 bpd in September, preliminary loading programmes seen by Reuters show, up around 25% from August.

The price of physical crude oil cargoes in the Middle East, Europe and Africa jumped this week to two-month highs with some nearing $110 a barrel, as supply disruptions linked to the Iran and Ukraine wars left buyers scrambling to secure prompt supply from other sources.

West African, Brazilian and Guyanese crudes could substitute for disrupted Middle East supplies, a trader said on Friday.

This week, traders said the West African market is in wait-and-see mode, with sellers beginning to hike ask prices for cargoes amid supply disruptions elsewhere.
