West African crude differentials steady
LONDON, Aug. 7 (Reuters) - West African crude differentials were stable in the spot market on Friday, as market participants continued to digest a slew of recent tender results.
Sasol buys Nigerian crude; Indian refiners also active
- South Africa's SASOL bought 1 million barrels of Nigerian crude for September 16 to September 18 delivery to Durban, two traders said, but further details were scant.
- This week Indian refiners bought up to 9 million barrels of Nigerian, Angolan, and Congolese crudes in tenders, according to trade sources.
- In the West African spot market, Qua Iboe was heard to have traded at dated Brent plus $5.50 this week, according to one trader.
- Bonny Light was on offer in the spot market at dated Brent plus $6.00 FOB this week, another trader said.
