Wall St opens higher but weekly losses loom

Aug. 21 (Reuters) - Wall Street's main indexes opened higher on Friday after getting hammered in the previous session, though markets remained on track to end the week in the red as surging government bond yields and geopolitical tensions weighed on risk appetite.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average .DJI rose 9.7 points, or 0.02%, at the open to 52768.87. The S&P 500 .SPX rose 24.5 points, or 0.32%, at the open to 7665.68, while the Nasdaq Composite .IXIC rose 131.7 points, or 0.51%, to 26198.835 at the opening bell.
