Wall St opens steady as AI enthusiasm eases worries over higher oil prices, yields
SPY•U.S. stock indexes were little changed at the open as AI optimism offset concerns about high oil prices and rising Treasury yields.
1. Indexes edge higher
The Dow rose 9.7 points, or 0.02%, to 51,359.7 at the open. The S&P 500 gained 5.7 points, or 0.07%, to 7,709.86, while the Nasdaq Composite added 31.6 points, or 0.12%, to 26,970.952.
2. Investors monitor conflict
Investors were also monitoring the chances of an agreement to end the Middle East conflict.
