The service leverages existing store network and an algorithm that assigns dispatch based on order size, driver availability and proximity. Shoppers in qualifying zones see a 'Delivery in 30 minutes or less' option at checkout.

During the first quarter, Walmart fulfilled millions of sub-30-minute deliveries spanning more than 19,000 ZIP codes. The retailer reported Q1 FY27 total revenue of $177.75 billion, with net sales up 7.1% to $175.68 billion and membership and other income rising 27% to $2.06 billion. Global e-commerce sales grew 26% year-over-year, contributing to a 5.9% constant-currency revenue increase.

Express Delivery now delivers 26% of orders within 30 minutes, reflecting a shift toward faster fulfilment for everyday purchases.
