Walmart has introduced Upstream Facility Services to bring its maintenance and facilities expertise to third-party businesses across the U.S. The new division will offer preventive maintenance, repairs and technical support, aiming to generate incremental service revenue outside of its retail operations.

Daniel Danker, executive vice president of AI acceleration, product and design, received $44.1 million in total compensation for 2025, including a $5 million sign-on bonus and $37.7 million in stock awards. The substantial package underscores Walmart’s commitment to attracting top AI talent and tying executive rewards to long-term shareholder value.
