Walmart, SCAN launch co-branded Medicare Advantage plans for Texas, Arizona seniors
WMT•Walmart and SCAN Health Plan will launch two co-branded HMO Medicare Advantage products on Jan. 1, 2027, initially serving six Texas counties and three Arizona counties. The companies estimate the plans could reach more than 2 million Medicare enrollees.
1. Plans launch in 2027
The offering includes a Chronic Special Needs Plan for members with conditions such as diabetes, heart failure and cardiovascular disease. It will integrate Walmart’s Everyday Health Signals AI platform, offering opt-in nutrition insights tied to shopping behavior. Enrollment for 2027 coverage runs Oct. 15 to Dec. 7; expansion beyond the initial markets was not disclosed.
