Warsh: Today's CPI data does not say 'mission accomplished'
TLT•Warsh says June inflation reading is not enough to declare victory
July 14 (Reuters) - Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh on Tuesday said a softer-than-expected reading of inflation for June does not mean the Fed has satisfied its price-stability mandate.
"There might be some that look at this morning's data and say, 'Oh mission accomplished, everything is swell,'" Warsh told members of the House Financial Services Committee. "Umm, that is not my view."
