Webull Rolls Out AI-Powered MCP Server Enabling Plain-Language Trade Execution
BULL•Webull launched its Model Context Protocol server on June 11, enabling U.S. clients to execute trades, query real-time market data, and manage positions using plain-language AI commands without programming. Since its April pilot, active traders have placed, modified, and canceled orders through MCP’s AI-driven OpenAPI integration.
1. Launch of MCP Server
On June 11, Webull activated its Model Context Protocol server, allowing U.S. clients to connect AI agents to Webull’s OpenAPI via plain-language instructions. The rollout removes coding barriers, offering non-programmers direct access to order placement, market data queries and account management.
2. User Adoption and Features
Since the MCP pilot began in April, active traders have leveraged the protocol to query real-time quotes, view balances, place, modify and cancel orders, and retrieve order history. This functionality extends advanced trading tools—previously limited to developers—to a broader retail investor base.
3. Strategic Impact and Expansion
Webull positions MCP as foundational for next-generation self-directed investing, with U.S. availability now and additional market rollouts planned. The move could boost platform engagement and differentiate Webull’s AI capabilities amid growing competition in digital brokerage services.
