Weight Watchers and CheqUp Integrate Clinical Services with GLP-1 Support in UK
WW•WW International and CheqUp have expanded their UK partnership to integrate clinical consultations into WW’s platform while maintaining CheqUp members’ access to WW’s app and Core+ programme including the GLP-1 Companion Programme. The move leverages NHS extension of GLP-1 access to 1 million patients and may boost UK membership.
1. Deeper Two-Way UK Partnership
Weight Watchers and CheqUp have transitioned from a one-way offering into a fully integrated collaboration in the UK. UK Weight Watchers members can now sign up for CheqUp’s clinical weight loss consultations directly via WW’s website, while CheqUp members retain full access to the WW app and Core+ programme.
2. Leveraging NHS GLP-1 Expansion
The expanded partnership coincides with the NHS extending GLP-1 medication access to 1 million patients in England, creating a larger addressable market for medically supervised weight loss services. This alignment positions WW and CheqUp to capture new subscribers seeking combined clinical and behavioural support.
3. Integrated Behavioural and Clinical Support
The integrated experience uses WW’s behavioural science framework—daily tracking of nutrition, activity and medication doses—and syncs with devices like Apple Health, Fitbit and Garmin. By coupling this technology with CheqUp’s clinical oversight, the partnership aims to drive sustainable weight management outcomes in the UK market.
